I have decided to become a vegetarian...

Hey y'all,

I have decided to become a vegetarian, I have been thinking about it for a while now, but I read "the kind diet" by Alicia Silverstone, and it pushed me to go all the way with it. So, are there any of you who are vegetarians or vegans, and have some advice for me? I could really use it!!

  1. I was a vegetarian for many years. I thought that I didn't like the taste of meat - but I was wrong! My sister has a cattle ranch and she also raises pork - it is the best tasting meat you will ever have! Once I started eating meat again I realized how unhealthy I had been when I wasn't eating meat. I have so much more energy and am so much happier. I didn't reaize that I had been depriving my body of essential nutrients for so many years. So, my advice to you is don't do it! I am a little late posting (I just found your blog today and am a new follower) this comment - so I would love to hear how it has been going so far! How do you feel?

About Me

My photo
I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina, in a little camper, with my husband and family. We are trying to become self sufficient and live off the land. I am sick of all the sad news on TV, the economy, and the evil world we live in, so we are trying to make things as simple as possible and get back to the basics. I think if everyone did that, and had faith in God the world might be a better place. Follow along, as we live life in our little tin can, and try to make it a home, while learning to homestead.
